WHOOSH Swim School - One 2 One

You may be asking why my school is called Whoosh Swim School? The name was inspired by my coach Ian Armiger when I was training for the Olympics. It was his trademark: before a race or a training session, after a competition or a text message and an email he would always say “Whoosh!” It was his motivational way of saying “Well done, you did great!”

Ian Armiger is a great coach and I learnt a lot from him. I now want to instil some of his ethics and knowledge into my training and teaching to produce excellent swimmers for the future.

Having been involved in swimming for over 20 years, I’ve seen first hand some of the fantastic ways in which swimming can improve the lives of adults and children alike. By establishing Whoosh! I feel as though I now have the opportunity to pass on these experiences to others.
