WHOOSH Swim School - Bump 2 Babes

Having been involved in swimming for over 20 years, I’ve seen first hand some of the fantastic ways in which swimming can improve the lives of adults and children alike. By establishing Whoosh! I feel as though I now have the opportunity to pass on these experiences to others.

Also being a mum myself I believe there is great importance in teaching your babes and children to swim and respect water from the earliest age possible, this will teach a crucial life skill that can save their lives and when older could save others.

My little girl and boy were both born in water and introduced to swimming from 6 weeks of age and they both absolutely love being in water and her confidence is growing every time they get back in the water.

Coming to Bumps to Babes is a great way to teach your babe to swim whilst building on the bond you have with your babe and having lots of fun along the way, meeting new people and making new friendships!

You may be asking why my school is called Whoosh Swim School? The name was inspired by my coach Ian Armiger when I was training for the Olympics. It was his trademark. Before a race or a training session, after a competition he would send me a text message or an email and he would always say “Whoosh!” It was his motivational way of saying “Well done, you did great!”

Ian Armiger is a great coach and I learnt a lot from him. I now want to instil some of his ethics and knowledge into my training and teaching to produce excellent swimmers for the future.
