"Lisa Chapman is one of the finest swimmers that Sussex has produced. As a swimmer with Hastings Seagull it became apparent from a very young age that Lisa was destined to reach the top. As a poolside official it was refreshing to see, close at hand, her pleasure in achieving so many records. An excellent swimmer in all strokes, Lisa still holds many County records.

"After a short break from swimming Lisa moved to Loughborough and was part of the talented squad based at Loughborough University. Under the guidance of coach Ian Armiger Lisa fully realised her potential and was selected for the Great Britain swimming team for the Athens Olympics in 2004. In Athens, Lisa was a member of the 4x100m Freestyle relay team that finished 6th. Following the Olympics Lisa took part in the British Short Course Championships at Manchester winning the 50m Butterfly, after breaking the British record in the semi final, as well as winning the 100m Individual Medley.
